Ok.

This thread.

Quite possible flamage.

so dubbing the flame suit now.

Right. Ready.

Now bear this in mind, I did a quote not long ago for an old N reg 1.4 Golf and it came out a 2k Fully comp.

Over the yard is a 2.0T Saab 9-3 1999 S Reg, not sure on the miles but I'm told it is in very good condition.

Been offered it for £800 as that is what Dad's company payed for it. Insurance on this will cost me £1796 TPFT or £2600 Fully comp (not considering fully comp)

Now, I like the sounds of this, the car is within my budget, sounds like to be a very good car. Pretty quick aswell.

Now once i've saved up and my mess with churchill and the other car is sorted I'd be willing to up it to Fully Comp insurance and I'm going to go on Rapid acceleration to build ncb every 10 months instead of a year.

I Haven't even seen the car yet, but have been thinking about it. And hopefully will get to see the car tomorrow.

I've been told it's in black but that's what they look like.

I really like the sounds of it

I'm sure some of you here don't so i'd like to hear your opinions :)

Many Thanks for reading :)

Should have got the bargain barge in the first place (i think i actually said as such at the time thinking about it ;)), looks like a nice car and a good price :)

If you dont like it when you look at it, just go and look at Cavaliers becuase thats all that this is :p

But the Saab doesn't make you look like a benefit cheat.

A Saab 9-3 for £800 fits into the bargain barge category, cars like this are all i'd ever consider buying....

Ah i see. lol dunce moment :p

you were referring to my slightly err...deformed car ;)

What i was trying to say is that to me cars like that nice saab for buggerall money make far more sense than borrowing for something as unimportant as a car purchase. If you have the same accident again you simply get the car towed, and all your insurance would hear of the whole thing is a call saying that you changed your car. :)

gotcha :)

I expected more comments on it :p - maybe people are fed up of trying to tell me to get a focus or a bimmer :p

Saab's price - decent.
Insurance quote - ouch, but probably as expected with your recent car history.

800 quid is a nice bargain there, shame about the insurance though although considering you wrote off a 15k car it ain't that bad so I'd say go for it.

If I get it I'll bring it round :)

Not the best idea, the NCB is only valid with that company, it can't be transferred to other ones.

Anyway, to the topic in hand, decent car, whats the situation with the MOT etc?

It can be transferred if they write the ncb in years on the renewal notice like Admiral

Car value = £800

Fully comp - TPFT = £804

Excess ~ £250

... anyone else thinking that the OP really shouldnt even be considering FC at any point in the future?

Not true mate, I have 5 years NCB with Elephant, and transfered it to Privilege ok. Althoug the 1st 4 'years' were 10mth policys, the final year was 12 months. on my Elephant renewal, it just stated 5yrs NCB.

The only problem you will run into, is that some companies don't like it if you have 5 years NCB but have only been driving for 3 years.

Apart from that, they'll still accept it :)

Phew, luckily for me, I have been driving a little longer than 5 years ;)
