It is shaped from 5PM to midnight on weekdays and midday to midnight on weekends. There is just no debate here.

Not for anything other than P2P....

We moderate the total volume of file sharing traffic on our network between 5pm and midnight on weekdays and midday and midnight on weekends. This policy is restricted to Peer to Peer ("P2P") applications and Newsgroups (which are commonly used to distribute large amounts of data)

This policy does not impact any applications other than Peer to Peer and Newsgroups, so things like watching iPlayer, online gaming, making calls via Skype, downloading music tracks from iTunes or streaming them from Spotify and sending an email or normal browsing are unaffected.

It's important to remember that these traffic management policies only apply at peak times when speeds are most likely to be affected by people using more than their fair share. Outside of peak times we do not manage traffic."

Interestingly it apparently doesn't apply to 50mb and 100mb packages UNTIL you receive the improved upload speeds.
I haven't received the upload speed upgrade and it most definitely applies to me and thousands of others like me. Not apparently, most definitely.

I've seen no port throttling at all. I'll call them tomorrow and if they've changed my t&c's ask for a reduction or cancel.

Hmm? I get full speed on Newsgroups on 20MB VM, well until I exceed the off peak quota of 3.5GB between 4 and 9PM anyway.

Edit*
Hmm.

Would be asim cheating, if you must try it do it on a new account, games are only a few quid ..

Never seen the point though, boring as well.

Oh yeah and VM 50Mbit is being ruined, swear they are doing in on purpose for their 100Mb launch, when half of Oxford leaves its get bad, good one VM, someone decent needs to buy them out.

Very generous of you, good stuff :)

Normally these accounts are phished etc an sold cheap on certain forums.

Also it's against steam T&C's (and I think ocuk's rules based on mm and pc games section threads) to transfer a steam account.

I wouldn't buy any games on the account either by the way in case asim ever decides to "reclaim" it though steam support.

I have 50mb and the 5mb upload and have no shaping when using steam.

Intact ages ago it was reported that the QoS mis-identified WoW packets causing issues. This has been fixed, so I bet the steam issue has
