many years ago when i was 10 i opened a griffin savers account with the midland bank.

as you can see all i wanted was the freebies! :D

the thing is i never closed the account so i'm guessing some of my hard earned cash (pocket money) is still floating in the system.

Do you think i can still claim it?

(same goes with an account with the TSB i opened for some vouchers))

Probably - contact the bank and find out.

Maybe the Chancellor has got his mits on it. Has that new law where he's able to nick your savings if you haven't had any activity on the account for a while come in yet?

i was able to reopen an old account from Ulster Bank that i open when i was 11. Only had £1.74 in it but hey, i needed it as the other bank was raping me with charges

It's certainly nothing to do with Lloyds TSB the_blue - Midland now fall under the HSBC group, so thats who you wanna be talking to methinks
