Old Comedy v New Comedy

Regarding the thread about the mighty boosh. I was just wondering what comedies you feel are better? I prefer the older comedies like Red Dwarf, Blackadder and Not the 9 o clock news. Some of the new stuff like the mighty boosh I just don't find funny.

What say you lot.

My favourite film of all time is the Life of Brian.

I love love love Blackadder, Red Dwarf, all that stuff.

I equally love Peep Show, Alan Partridge, The Office etc.

Thats just off the top of my head. a lot of great comedy about at the minute, Paramount and Dave are great for most, if not all of it.

There are some great episodes but as a series it's not up there with the likes of Fawlty Towers and The Office simply because in the end they stretched it out so much.

Exactly, im a huge OFAH fan but i think it was such a shame they stretched it out so much, the last episodes were really bad.

I like anything as long as it's funny. Also, will people stop saying that Blackadder and Red Dwarf are "old comedy" because they aren't and you're making me feel old by saying that they are!

some of the newer ones wernt great, the one where they became rich and the one where they found gary were great though. But the older ones were the best (80s and early 90's)
