Old gas pump (only 1 pic but C&C wanted)

Took this in France and thought I would go for a high contrast type mono thingy. Any c&c on it? Do you think it is too contrasty?

I feel the actual gas pump is a little 'too' white.
I am also not too keen on the distortion to the right of the image but don't know how to fix it so it looks more straight on. Any one know how? Or if it is possible at all?

Nice, to fix the problem try using skew in photoshop and dragging out the corners on that end.
