Be creative, try a new hobby and craft something inventive out of them..... like a bigger knife!

Put them to use.

Get an old leather glove, suede preferably, remove the knife handles and then stitch the blades securely onto the fingers of the glove, making sure to allow for full movement.

Sharpen blades, then proceed to enter the dreams of the local teen population and murder them in various and inventive ways.....

Stay away from basements with big log burning boilers though....

I generally tie them to rocks, boat out to the centre of the local lake and toss them in when done with them.

WTF, I was going to start this thread today because I was thinking of replacing my kitchen knives

I was thinking of Freecycle but then you never know who they are going to until they turn up on your doorstep. Could be some undesirables or chavvy kids, you refuse, they come back and kick your door in etc. I think for secure disposal the police station is probably the best bet.

Hide them under your pillow, behind your sofa and so on. Then when you get burgled/zombie attack/post apocalyptic horror you'll have plenty of weapons stashed around your house.

You'd be the first to croak in a zombie apocalypse. Old dull knife vs zombie who doesn't feel pain.... om nom nom.

We phoned our local police to ask what to do with our old ones, they suggested wrapping in a bin bag and putting in the wheelie bin.
