Hi all, I have an old Asus P4t533-C motherboard in my desktop / server machine, that needs a new file storage drive.

It is an IDE interface, but my question is that am I constrained to which types of IDE harddrive I can use? I don't want to buy the wrong one, but need something with a lot of capacity....

I was looking at something like this:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320620A ATA-100 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-082-SE)

- Capacity: 320 GB
- Speed: 7200 rpm
- Seek time: 11ms
- Interface: ATA-100
- Cache: 16MB

But as I said above, I don't want to get something with the wrong interface and not knowing much about HDD's I thought I would ask first...

Thanks

Any of the drives in this section should be fine. (IDE Hard Drives)

Maybe look here for advice on makes, but most people have their own prefrences.

I like western digital.
