old style mini from newer cars?!

sounds like a spi mini, probably got 12" wheels but either way 10" is the way to go i may be biased though

if you do go for it make sure the engine runs and idles as it should else there may be sensor issues.

sorry it was the 1.3i cooper, definitely not 13" wheels, as the one it was parked beside did have!

engine sounded good, idled for a good while with no hassle - left it running for a wee while whilst talking to the guy hoping i would hear some wrong noises!!

went to see one that was on ebay (now removed!) which was ok, but worse than the first one i'd been to see, it's just a total trek to get down the road atm without a car!
i have put an offer in for the first one, so they are discussing that, should hear today...
just a point, do you have specialised mini inusrance, i was told that it was best to go for one of those policies as you can get an agreed amount for the car repairs before it's written off (which i would have never worried about until someone ran into me and wrote off my old car!) but could be worth doing on something like this. going to start looking for some quotes today

yeah, just going through a mini world and looking up the insurers in that... there's always bloody small print, the good thing about the car i'm trying to buy is that everything is standard in it so no mods whatsoever - still has the original rover cassette deck! so at least i'll know anything that's been changed in it...

Larger wheels are the worst thing you can do a mini, my 7x13 deep dishes looked man-gasm worthy but ruined just about everything on the handling.

Have a look for the Mini Mag. I picked one up at the weekend - some good stuff in there. :)

Do replace the rover cassette player. I managed with mine for over a year before giving in and getting a £120 kenwood. ;) :p

7x13s do look good, but must be a good workout when parking!!

got the stereo out of my write off before they crushed it, so the rover stereo is getting punted asap!
