older games you wish were still popular

c&c generals. My fav rts. Simple though very fun.

Also cs1.6 (although probably is still the most popular fps) is the king of fps for me

I thought that Baldurs Gate was still popular, but obviously not enough because no one seems to want to make anymore games like it these days.

So yea, I wish that Baldur's Gate (1 + 2) were still a lot more popular.

I would murder people for a BG3. None of this crappy 3D stuff, just simple, two dimensional RPG with 80+ hours of non-linear story.

Give it to me.

Trying to get Counter strike source to work on windows 7 64bit but crashes with hl2 error though hl2 game itself loads

I presume it will actually work with all versions of win7

Command and Conquer: Red Alert (the first one). I'm sure if EA patched or remade it so that it:

1. Ran on XP, Vista and 7.
2. Had Integrated Steamworks and Steam Friends with maybe a few Steam Acheivements
3. Made a few small tweaks to ingame settings and the engine

Then they released it on steam at say £7.99 they'd be on to a winner.

Sadly though I doubt they've even considered it. :(

started playing it last night with a mate actually, had steam open so that we could voice chat as well. still a great game, although i prefer 2 myself.

if they released the first decade set on steam for around £15, lots of people would get it i think, especially if they supported the multiplayer properly again.
