It's not really, she's 16, she's a kid, you are an adult. Leave the school kids to the other 16 year olds :p Suprised she doesnt drive you up the wall. Do you give her a lift to school in the mornings? :p
 
Of course you get on really well, you've got an actual girlfriend, and she can tell all her mates she's pulled an older guy, who has a car and everything.

Why so judgemental? I was more mature at 12 than most of the "adults" have to interact with on a daily basis nowadays.

Could be either way. She could be a mature 16 year old, or he could be an immature 22 year old. Who cares, they're both legal.

It's not the age gap so much but the age gap relative to your age. 17 and 22 is rather different to 34 and 39 for example.

Whilst I went to University when I was 16, the idea now (being 22) of being with a 16 year old is wrong, doubly so someone who is a schoolkid. Be fun for her, having the older man and everything but I can't possibly see what she offers you...

but it would be very unwise to pursue 'speeding up' the fatherhood process if he is unsure of the relationship and besides although both biological clocks are ticking, there's medical assistance if it doesn't happen naturally and plenty of people have children around the ages in question and have lived their life and are able to offer a great parenting role

I agree, but all he's doing here is saying that as she's 39 she'll probably want kids. But thats true of any woman in her 30's - he could find someone the same age and have the same issue.
 
Age doesn't matter, if you both get on then go for it. My ex was a lot younger than me, well, 9 years younger and i'm only 26 :P But we got on really well and i never thought about her age due to the way she is so 5 years older at that age is nothing.
 
Hmm As soon as you cross the <17/18 border when you are in your mid 20s that to me is just wrong...Its about the only time in life where big age gaps are dubious.
