OLED or mini-LED TV for gaming?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a new TV but not sure if I should go for OLED or something else like mini-LED. Is OLED better for gaming and have any of you with OLED TVs suffered burn-in, or is that not a problem with new TVs?

Is there a particular TV that anyone would recommend? I'm looking for 4K 120Hz and maybe 65"-75", basically anything with the latest features like HDMI 2.1, Dolby Vision etc.

For budget I'd rather keep it below £2000.

I'm looking into this more and pretty much convinced that OLED is what I want if I don't want to compromise on picture quality. So the next question is which OLED TV?

I think 65" is about the right size for my living room, and going to the next size up adds at least a grand to the cost anyway. Looking at the LG site maybe the OLED65C26LD is the best option at around £2100, or maybe the OLED65C24LA but I'm not sure if that's a slightly older model. I didn't want to spend quite this much but could stretch my budget a bit, or hope for a good deal somewhere.

Is the C2 evo the best OLED TV without spending a lot more than £2k?

Edit - or maybe the G2 OLED65G26LA, if that's worth another £200

Or C3 / G3

That's a good point about the heat sync, I thought it was only to allow higher peak brightness than the C2 but it makes sense that it would reduce the chance of burn in too.

I'm also starting to look at other brands to see if it's worth looking at anything else except LG, interesting video here comparing a few TVs - https://youtu.be/RzjQH_4dbSo

Update on this, in the end I went with a LG 65QNED866QA and am very happy with it. I'm sure a (more expensive) OLED would give a better overall picture but this TV looks great to me and I'm glad that I don't have to think about burn in.

I hadn't heard about mini LEDs loosing brightness so hope that doesn't happen
