OUCH.
looks like I left motorstorm on a little too long on my pioneer 436XDE.

I now have a faint, continue, retry, restart down the middle of the screen

:(

oh yea, forgot the question because I was in shock...

Is there a DVD available that abuses the screen with random colours that might help the cells back to life... or whatever it is that's gone wrong.

This may work,

Press the button on your remote thats marked tv/dtv until you get a analgue signal, disconnect your antenna feed so you are left with a snowy picture and leave on for a while. This should clear up your screen burn. Also it may only be screen retention which should clear up after a while, plus check your display settings as they are generally set way to high out of the box.
Hope this helps.

IIRC...

The burn removal tools out there just burn the rest of the screen by displaying brilliant white everywhere, thus evening out the burntness and in turn reducing the number of hours you have left of your display...

just out of interest how long did you leave it on the screen?

i always have a little worry in the back of my mind when playing poker on the 360 because the player name panels never move

Not sure TBH, it went into power save mode at some stage and went very faint.
I had my head in the computer or something I expect.
I only noticed it when I turned it on the next day to play a blu-ray disc I'd just bought (saw III :D )
At first I thought, how am I getting a signal bleed through on that channel... then I noticed the PS3 wasn't on. :o

:(

Much better since I've had white noise on and also left the thing on a few different normal channels too.
White noise channel caused it to switch off after 15 mins or so due to lack of any signal.
