Just bought a Powercolor x1900xt, can't believe the price thought I'd have to wait six months for a drop like that. Having to get it delivered to my Dads though and wait to fit it when coasts clear. Been warned about any more parcels being delivered at home, only so many excuses for vital upgrades LOL.

nice one, a great time to buy at such a great price. pity i bought my sap x1900xtx a month ago for 460!.............sigh.

I've also ordered the Powercolor x1900xt. It is a really good price imo, I think my X800pro cost me more!

I paid £407 on release day. Prices drop, what you gunna do. Wonder how the x1800xt early buyers are feeling?

I payed somewhere round £379 excluding VAT from OCuk for my x1900xt-x about 1 to 2 weeks after release.

I not going buy an ATi card again. My nvidia cards never lost value anywhere near as fast as these ATI ones..

The x1800xt where no better for keeping there value as well..

Nvidai cards may cost more..But they keep there value 10x better then ATI cards.

I'm looking forward to the G80. I have high hopes for that card.

Not like anyone put a gun to your head and forced you to buy it. Same with most releases around a month or two after release they drop a good chunk of their price.

I don't recall the nvidia 7800gtx dropping so much and so quick as the x1800 and x1900 range..

So your trying to say the 7800gtx lost there price as fast as the x1800 and x1900 range..I don't think so

that's because ati were so late with the x1800's. no competition = charge whatever the hell you like. price on top cards always drop fast. you buy the best and you risk getting burned.

Cause the ati competition wasn't around back then, now it is so both companies are gonna have to cut prices sooner rather than later to be more competative.

i Paid £458 for my xtx this was the first weekend it was out.
did the same last year with my BFG 7800gtx paid £460 2 weeks later £370

Even with the x1800xt 512mb card out..Which was faster then the 7800gtx 256mb...The 7800gtx still kept it price very well..

And there still selling at £317.19 on Ocuk eight months or so later.

over charging......

like i said, prices always drop. One company will make the first move, and the other WILL follow. That's the way its always been.
