OMG went to the cinema and saw myself on the screen

Hey

Just thought this was really strange....

Me and the boyfriend decided that we would go and see Ice Age 2 last night at our local cinema in Luton, we bought our tickets, got our water and sweets and made our way to our screen. We sat down and was just watchin the screen when to my surprise an advert for the college I go to popped up with a picture of me smiling away on it....

I couldn't believe it....i dont remember being asked if it could be used or anything, it was just really sureal, there was me in my chef whites and trophy smiling away to the whole of luton.....

just thought id share that with you, and i guess id like to know if they should have asked me first...one of you clever people should know...

Yes, I believe they should have gotten you to sign a release form to say you've given permission to be used in the advert. That's in general though, whether that applies at college I'm not quite sure.

Yeah im just finishing it actually...i did NVQ1&2 in food production, NVQ2 in food and beverage service, ABC Pastry and a wine course....its really good!!!

My old college used me in the prospectus one year. I had to sign a release form before they could even take a picture. I'd have words with them about it if you don't want to be used to advertise them.

It's OK. I was in a Radio ad for LearnDirect that ran for 10 months a few years ago and didn't recieve a penny.

when i started i got a uniform list and a choice of knives and i just ticked the boxes and they got that for me.

Na, at the interview on monday they gave us an order form with all of it on for russums, though I would rather change the list from the giesser knife set if I've got enough money at the time. Should get a letter saying that i'm accepted (hopefully!) in the next couple of weeks.
