On Vodafone?

I just had a call from someone claiming to be calling from Vodafone to tell me they have a computer virus and the network will be down for 5-6 hours. My vodafone contract ended about a month ago so not sure why they're telling me...

Anyone else had this phone call?
Are those people on vodafone able to make calls/text?

Seems a bit odd that they're able to call people if the network is down!

Hi,

Working for Vodafone we've not heard that one at all (standard briefings will appear on our intranet about sites, base stations being down etc). Nothing about a 'computer virus' though - sounds like a prank call.
