Anyone seen this?.......now you can all laugh at anyone who bought trackIR

http://freetrack.online.fr/english/

Only kidding bout trackIR, but for free vs lots of money I know which I'd prefer....

Ps Unless you want your weirdo status to reach critical level, go for the IR LEDS as they are invisible (remote control etc)

Otherwise you'll look like this guy and I'll have to report you to the Dork Police :)

Actually he might be in the dork police.....

bigmouse......it controls your view in games by you moving your head about in front of your webcam, and the software moving your view in the game. Good for flight sims....

However.....while looking for a video to illustrate this, I also found this rather stranger tool......which seems like a control freaks wet dream......

Squad Keep low.
Squad Hold fire.
Squad Touch me.

I have a TrackIR and it rocks, have heard that freetrack is good but not as good.

J0hnb0y, you posted the same link twice.

wide angle ir led is the best, with a piece of exposed film over your wecam to filter out daylight but allow infra red through. it has the added bonus if being invisible to us. failing that the manual for freetrack recommends red or orange.

i can see this being quite good if u have monitors around u but for a single monitor infront of u i think it would suck. end up with strained eyes.

The whole point is to be able to view around the cockpit/scenery without additional monitors.

I've seen the above link before and am undecided whether to get TrackIR or the above. I'm waiting for the release of Black Shark which supports 6 Degrees Of Freedom, so I can get the most out of it.

The problem with Freetrack is it requires a USB cable or a battery pack on my head. :o

By the way, here's a list of games that are supported by TrackIR and therefore will be supported by Freetrack aswell: http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/03-enhanced-games/enhanced-games-all.html

Trackir is the best piece of kit you can buy for your pc especially if you play flight sims or armed assault (for which it is an absolute must), the advantage it gives you is amazing.

Wouldnt a 9v battery do? Thats not gonna break your neck now is it? I am waiting for my new webcam, so i might have acrack at making one of these! :D

Once you've started using it, you'll wonder how you did without it. It has a terrible side affect - once you get used to it, if you do any other gaming without it, you're forever trying to pan the camera by turning your head :)
