My brother just flew out yesterday on one of these...2nd time hes flown on one...first time was on his honeymoon 2 yrs ago....flown with Singapore airlines...says they are very roomy even in econo class especially if you get a window seat...plenty of room.

I might be jumping on one of these when im in Dubai next march...hopefully i can get one as id love to fly in one of these bad boys.

Got a Heathrow visit coming up this week to have a look around a SAL A380 as we have to cover them on the off chance they ever divert to Stansted.

I wonder how the pilots feel about there being no control column, must be very alien for them at first. Especially in an emergency you would instinctively reach for the column to bring it under the control, not tweak a little joystick.

The A319/320 family have the same joystick instead of 'normal' yoke.

The A380 cockpit actually looks quite simple (although its obviously not in real life). So much more streamlined that what you use to find in the old 737's.
