Returning some videotapes
I placed an order for various components to the value of around £400 on Thursday around midday for next day delivery. Now I was told after enquiry, at around 5pm today that I will not receive the parts until Monday. As a result I now do not need the order and have sent an email to cancel it, however its due to be delivered on Monday. I will not accept the delivery from the courier but I was wondering what my rights are regarding a refund? ie refund time. I am very concerned as I dont want to be without £400 for a lengthy period.

Cheers guys

I havent even received the goods yet, and I will turn away the courier when/if they come. Surley a straight up refund is reasonable.

Once the courier company returns it to the seller (may take over a week), the seller should automatically refund your money.

But you may be charged a restocking fee if you don't inform the seller that it's being returned.

Already have done. They broke contract by not delivering on agreed date.

In this case I would have though that I am entitled to a full refund including delivery costs - do you think I am right? They are refusing - am I just being picky!?

Nope, you arent entitled to delivery costs.

Hmm I would have though that if they didnt deliver on the day specified, they have broken contract ie a full refund would be in order?
