Ok I was going to wait and put all the pictures up together, but I love getting new PC bits. lol how sad!

So as I'm still waiting on some stuff, here is the board that'll be powering the Q6600. The DFI LanParty P35-T2R.

It looks so nice! lol.

That is all... for now... Cheers!

Oh lawd
That's spanking.
How much did that set you back? What kind of FSB are these capable of?

Lol @ "That's spanking". :)

Erm it was ~£160 iirc. Got free postage too. I don't know how that compares to other prices of P35 boards but I don't mind paying extra for DFI quality. At least it's not £200 like some of the latest nForce7 boards are.

But no idea on FSB mate... will be nice to find out I guess. Just need Easyrider to post my Q6600. lol. :D Gimme gimme gimme...

Cheers!

Ha Ha I thought the much awaited DFI range had come to OC :)

Good luck on your new build, keep us posted.

Waiting for the DFI LT X38-T2R, possibly my next build.

Oh sorry about that! :D I hope they do arrive soon as well. I'll no doubt start a thread in the OC section showing my fun with the board. If it all goes to plan. :p

Cheers again.

£160 for a P35! Are you off your rocker!

Perhaps!

EDIT: Should probably say a bit more like. haha. I don't see the need for the X38 or X48 for my needs. So I bought myself a board I liked. I have a DFI board now and think it's fantastic, so for me, the choice was easy. :) But I can see the price being hard to swallow for some... but this is what I wanted, so that's what I got. :)

EDIT#2: Oh... and DFI offer the best feature rich BIOS' imo. It's an overclockers wet dream!

I have one, amazing board. Really does fly - and on quite low voltages too.

These boards aren't your run of the mill "Omfg I've got xyz FSB, which means I've got zyx clockspeed", you really can play with the damn things and make the chipset perform better than on other boards which automatically scales performance levels, phase adjusts etc for you.

I'm waiting on some new WC parts before I chase Max FSB (NB block, SB sink and Mosfet sink, compression fittings and Tgon R3400), but I'll let you know.

Offers NB and independent die GTLREF values too. Personally for a 24/7 setup, I run low FSB using the most of my multi and then putting some volts in to tighten performance level etc.

Looks like a fantastic board with a decent layout but if I was spending £160 on a board I'd go X38. They both clock decently but £160 for a P35 board is excessive, the max I'd pay for a P35 board would be £100. If the price was halved (I know it will never happen) this board would be a hit.

I've bought DFI before and can't really fault the boards they produce... Maybe the extra expense is worth it for all the enjoyment you can get out of tweaking everything? Not for me at the moment unfortunately.... I'm not that rich :(
