Hiyah Folks!

So another noob bites the dust. Thought I'd upgrade my aged machine last Friday night. New mem, CPU and G card... just enough to keep it ticking along for another year.... but I fried the mobo somehow.. not sure how.. I'm waiting for the full diagnosis.

My intention was basically to keep this box running for another year as I will hopefully be doing a bit of traveling end of 2008 and I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that would be old hat when I got back. (I'm sure your all very interested in my life story :p)

Anyway still trying to avoid spending money.. I seem to be in the unenviable position of trying to find a nice socket 939 AGP board. Not as easy as I'd hoped. I have though stumbled across a MSI K8T NEO-FV board. Could somebody please let me know if this an okay board. I am a noob.. but have suddenly developed a keen interest and have found a wealth of fantastic information here.. but seems I lack choice when it comes to mobo for my already purchased bit's n bob's

Planning to plop into this 2GB DDR mem, AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 Dual-Core and an X1950 pro 256mb AGP card.

I'd much appreciate any advice.. thanks loads !! :)
