Opinions/advice on putting a picture onto canvas

As has been said in here, it has a lot to do with how far it is being viewed from, a general rule seems to be 100DPI MINIMUM which is what mine works out to (just over).

I used these guys for a few I had done last year and was very impressed with the quality and speed of delivery. I ordered this canvas from there aswell and they make the canvas frames in custom sizes, the 32" x 20" x .7" one I just ordered is £27 inc. delivery. It has arrived but I am away from home until tomorrow so will update with some pictures and opinions of it.

Just received a canvas. Ordered on 29 November, so 3 day turnaround from order to receipt - pretty epic!

Got a 30x20" canvas for £39.99 inc. delivery. Used a shot from my S95 so nothing amazing. Anyway, the photo I used (obviously at a higher res, 30x20" @ 300dpi in the end I managed to stretch it to):

And the canvas (phone camera) with A4 paper for scale:

Very impressed! It's basically one guy from the impression I get, but the quality, speed and price is great so nothing wrong with that.

It arrived in a rather big and sturdy cardboard box, was wrapped entirely in bubble wrap and then had those little airbag/cushions around it to stop it bouncing around in transit, I would have taken shots but it is now wrapped up for christmas! Actual dimensions are 32"x20"x0.7", they also do a 2.5" frame, my one is very sturdy and seems to be good quality material unlike others I have seen which arrived warped. Am extremely impressed with the quality and service from them (www.digitalcanvasprint.co.uk), sent them lots of email questions which were promptly replied to. You can customise the frame size and choose which type of wrap around you have aswell and the price.. just under £27 inc. postage. I know it sounds like a sales post but I really am that impressed with them :)

Yup, print quality is very good, in real life it does not look washed out like it does in the picture above which was taken with the flash on. My photo's quality lets it down slightly if you get close enough and look for faults but the print itself is great :)

I had used them before for smaller canvas and with a larger image file so this was the 1st proper test for me and they didn't let me down, will definitely be using them again.

Is this right? Going by the standard resolution this camera shoots at (10MP?) and with no cropping the DPI would only be around 110 wouldn't it?
