Hi Guys,

I'm looking to buy a 'decent' Compact Digi Cam. It will be used for taking for holiday snaps, general use and other outings etc. I've got a budget of £200 and not sure what I should go for. I've read a few reviews and i'm unsure what to go for.

A friend of mine has the Ixus 50, which to me looks ideal really nice smart camera & excellent image quality. So i was considering this and maybe the 55/60?

Any comments/sugestions will be greatful.
Cheers.

I purchase a A95 on my last trip to the states and it has been great, can't fault it. Just need to learn how to use it properly.

If you can stretch a little bit further you could get the Ixus 750 for not much more:

I was told not to bother going for more than 5mp as there would be no point unless i'm going to be printing the picture's at A4 size & above (which i'm not)

What's your view's on this?

For £200 you could also get the Canon A620.
Pictures may be deceiving, but the camera looks a little too bulky for my need's. With it being carried around a lot i'd prefer a slimline model camera really, although the image quality of this camera is outstanding.
