Opinions on the TZ7?

I was looking to get either the LX3 or FZ38 from reading reviews but when going into a shop and using them they weren't what I was expecting. The FZ38 was too bulky for taking it on holidays and the LX3 didn't zoom in as much as I'd have wanted it to.

The salesman then pointed me to the TZ7 which seems to be in the midpoint of both of the cameras. High zoom (x12), HD Video and small enough to fit in my pocket.

Anyone give me their opinions of this camera?

Thanks

I have one, not used it much but for the money it does the job very nicely indeed for what I wanted! Quality is pretty good and the zoom is excellent!!

Over at the avforums there is a MASSIVE two part thread all about it, well worth reading over to really get any questions answered! :D

I've got the TZ6 which is almost identical, it doesn't do HD video and has a lower resolution screen but has the same lens & sensor I believe.

I've had it about 4-5 months now and it's a great piece of kit IMO. I took it with me to asia this summer and it did everything I wanted. Pimping my own thread, but here is a few photos & panoramas I took with it. I spent a long time looking at compact cameras and for the price & size the TZ6 & 7 looked the best to me, the only reason I went for the TZ6 was I was only looking to spent £200.

I received one today (I won it:D) and initial impressions are very favourable, the zoom is great as is the macro from what i've seen so far :)

I haven't spent as much time playing with it as i'd like as i've got a stinking cold and basically spent most of the day in bed.
