I think that power supply should be ok with the graphics card?

Also, the RAM runs at 2.2v, but I read somewhere about the motherboard only being 1.8v?

Will an existing 250gb IDE drive be compatible with that motherboard?

Cheers!

You called this budget :-/

Nice selection of hardware there. No problem as far as I can see except for the same money you can get a SATA version of the DVD writer since that mobo (and all modern ones) has only 1 PATA port. Are you going to overclock? If yes I'd add an aftermarket cooler as well.

Yes the 250Gb IDE will work but as said you are limited to only 2 IDE devices.

With regards to RAM voltage, you can always download the manual from the official site and see what the options are for RAM voltage.

I'm not buying it, a person I know is and I said I'd ask the advice of people on here for him before he purchases :D

Thanks for the reply, I'll check the mobo manual.

Change the CPU to a e2160, add a Tuniq Tower and upgrade the graphics to a 640MB card with the money saved on the CPU. You'll have a faster system IMHO, certainly for games.

If you look @ the benchmarks for the 320mb vs the 640mb then you see the difference isn't really noticable (certainly not for the price increase) until you hit the really high res's. Depending on res to be used then a 640mb GTS might be justified.

We don't even know what res he games at yet are assuring him a 640mb gts will outperform a 320mb one...right...

Nice rig! One thing though. Might I suggest you get the Corsair hx520w instead as it's only £2.35 more than the Enermax Liberty while being superior in almost every way.

He won't be playing anything above 1600x1200 at the very most. More likely it will be even lower.

Will look into power supplies, is the cosair one the best for that amount of money?
