Well, seems my old and trusty SPV C600 is a nightmare to unlock at shops ect.
So i bit the buttle and put £20 on my phone when i was in the the uk and asked orange for the code. Sure, give us 4 weeks and its yours. Great! get to use it in france with a french sim.
As im in prais working and living, makes sense.
1 hour later, text from orange saying as youve topped up - 200 mins free this weekend.
so i used them to ring home and a few mates, great,lovely little bonus.
6 weeks later, no code... emailed orange and got them to talk to me on the phone.
told by an indian type guy that the free mins are orange to orange only [i did not know and the text didnt say] and the reason i dont have the code is i only have about £6 left...
If i want the code, pay another £14 and wait another 4 weeks.
Well... i work in support as some people know and this was not the way to treat someone, so i questioned it, pointed out, that your records will show you i put £20 on, asked for the unlock code, you give me 200 mins free and i used about 195 mins then stop... All to land lines as i didnt know i couldnt.
Nothing we can do, have to pay another £14. Merry christmas and just left me hanging...
So, not too polite email to orange about me not being happy and how crap your service is to someone who cant top up his orange mobile again as im in FRANCE. Not coming back till late next year and have to wait another 4 weeks! give over..
An hour later, another phone call to see how i got on with the service bloke. told them what happened, how i wasnt happy and what i would have done if i was working there.
Resulted in them giving me the £14 credit back and the unlock code is being sent today.
funny how the indian guy was not bothered at all, next call please and the 'English' sounding guy took 2 mins to listen to me, checked something [well he said he did] and gave me the credit back...
Now i have to send a thank you email lol..
Well done Orangeuk... never though id say that! if only they had a EU package.
