Sony Optiarc AD-7260S 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM

I know the graphics card is a bit mid-range but I am only really looking to play WOW and Total War sort of level games (No Crysis lol). All look pretty decent?

Too late now. Sent the finance documents off yesterday. Can't wait to get it this delivered :) I have been living with a P4 3.2 with an 8600gt for the last year or so. Empire Total War ran... not good.

The triple channel ram you've ordered is for Intel i7 9xx series CPUs and the X58 chipset. Your AMD platform is dual channel and would use 2x2gb or 4x2gb. I'm not sure of the implications of this and whether it'll work at all or just operate in single channel mode (ie. Slowly)

Is a Six-Core really necesary for World of Warcraft / Total War?

You could get something a bit more suitable and then grab an SSD for a solid performance boost, or perhaps a little higher spec graphics card allowing you a broader range of games.
