Ordered something and got double through the post !!

Not exactly ordered, but i won a full version of Office 2007 Ultimate in a raffle at an event for IT bods (by Dell). Didnt receive it, so got in touch with my account manager, he apologised and said he would sort it. Still nothing a month later so rang him again and he said he would make sure it was sorted this time. The following week i received 3 copies of it on seperate days. No one ever asked me about the extra copies, so wanged one on ebay and got £200 for it, emailed the guy who bought it and told him i had another 2 copies and he had them for the same price! Nice!

Had a mate who bought an Apple G3/G4(?) with the big 27inch display (whatever was the biggest you could get about 4yrs ago), it was dead on arrival so he took it back to the Apple shop and the sales assitant told him to ring Apple and they would swap it for a new one. He got home and rang Apple and they logged the call but told him to go back and exchange it at the shop as that was his right. Went back to the shop and the sales manager saw him come in (he's a fairly regular customer, last mac he bought was around the £6k mark as he uses it for music production) and asked what the problem was, he got a new monitor on the spot. A week later Apple customer services also delivered a monitor as a replacement. He rang them and told them of the error but they never picked the extra monitor back up and he's been dual (huge) screen ever since!

dual 30" cinema displays? i'd have expected Apple to chase that one up like mad!

I had a DVD writer and OEM copy of Windows XP come through twice from one of OCUK's competitors. I contacted them to them to arrange to return the duplicate items but they showed little interest in getting them back. After no follow up in over a year I ended up sticking them in a PC I was building.

Not had duplicate items but about 6 months ago i bought the missus a new tv for the bedroom, a 32" Sammy from Argos for around £299, i collected it from my local store.
When i got it home they had given me one with FreesatHD built in which is worth another £150-£200 !!! :D
To add insult to injury i also got 10% discount as her brother works there....lol

I havent, But my mate got 2 42" Sony Bravia HDTVs.

Not straight forward like the OP. But basically he had 1 and saw it had a dead pixed and so contacted Sony about a replacement as he'd just spent a fortune on a new HDTV. They sent out a second 42" Sony HDTV without picking up the first one with a dead pixel!
