Ordering steaks online

I find it hard to believe you can't find a half decent butcher in Surrey. I would imagine that a fresh cut properly hung porterhouse or ribeye is going to be far better than anything that comes packaged through the post.

Work 5, sometimes 6 days a week. Butchers only open same time as when I am at work. No car for transport so yes I do find it rather hard to find a decent butchers in Surrey

have done it thru a friend who deals in game mostly but venison steaks and they were delivered that evening its not national tho only local stuff but we ordered thru facebook

Another vote for Donald Russell here - we've been getting their fillet steaks on special occasions for a few years now and they're always excellent - in fact I haven't had better in any restaurant.

Might have to give Donald Russell a try - especially if they're on Quidco.

Apart from the fact that MacBeth's meat is so good (their pork is the best I've ever had), they sometimes have 6 week aged beef which, whilst expensive, is to die for.

I live above Macbeths and its a good Butcher which is well run. The owner is a nice chap who knows his stuff

Woohoo. Just ordered 4 fillet steaks - £39.00 and Quidco were doing 11% cashback and free delivery !

Cannot wait to cook these bad boys next Tuesday. They come delivered on that day so I hope they thaw out in time for the evening.

Steaks have arrived today, the dinner has been moved to tomorrow so I'll put them in fridge tonight and they should defrost perfectly for tomorrow. Can't wait to cook these bad boys.

Our local restaurant that we love going to (Aqua Brasserie in South Croydon) sells their fillet steak for £20.50 and you get a great steak but small amount of mash and some greens. So for around £9 I am getting steak and whatever else I want on the plate. It's not that dear. I checked Asda's fillet steaks the other day - £7 for a measly chunk of fillet. I'll let you know how these taste on Thursday mwhahaha

O M F'in G !!!

These steaks were amazeballs. Seriously, not blowing my own trumpet but these were the best steaks I've eaten.

Mash was a bit gloopy but was very creamy and pouring the steak resting juices (with added butter) ober the steak again was such a good idea.

Sorry for poor quality images but was so hot n sweaty in the kitchen and had a bottle of wine by the time the dinner was ready.

Will definitely be buying from Donald Russell again !
