I have an original Asus P6T Deluxe on the latest BIOS.

Is there anyone else here who has got a DO stepping 920 to 4Ghz on a P6T?

My board will not post @ greater than 180 BLCK no matter the bios settings, using an original 920 C0 stepping.

I am considering selling the P6T and getting the gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5, which is very populuar around here and seems to get to 4gz with ease, using the D0 chips.

Thanks.

I have the same mobo and a c0 and use 191blck with 21 multi to get 4ghz.I cant seem to get much higher though and be fully stable.
It may be your c0 thats holding you back not the board.Have you tried setting the multi to 12x to see how high you can get the blck?

Thanks for the reply.

Tested as you said, reduced multi to 12 and set BLCK to 180, using the same voltages (1.26vcore), simply results in no POST. Ive read almost every guide to the P6T, set the voltages to as high as safely possible, temperates are very good but still no post.

Im wondering if I should just buy a new gigabyte x58 board, the UD3 model which is used in the pre-overlcocked bundles that ocuk sell, and see what my cpu can do on this board.

Bump, would really like some advice:

Buy a new gigabyte x58 UD3 in the hopes of clocking this CPU higher, or buy a D0 stepping CPU and hope the board is not a limiting factor?

I would be veru surprised if it is the board thats limiting the oc.
Just because your @ 2.16ghz (180x12) it doesn't necessarily mean you can use lower volts as the 180 Blck may require 1.3v or more.
Can you post up what bios setting your using atm?
