Evening, finding myself in Orlando for a day on Sunday. There are a million and one things you can do from what I can see so trying to see what is actually worth it.

I do have a car - i'm thinking Kennedy Space Centre but have no idea how practical/realistic that is but reading up on it seems easily doable.

Thought about the theme parks but landing on Saturday and don't particularly fancy the cost/waiting around in queues for rides all day.

Could also just go for a drive but almost blinded by choice! Any recommendations of other things worth seeing which are a bit different/couldn't do in UK or Europe?

Kennedy is easy to drive to from orlando, set of early and its a long dead straight road with very little traffic, took just under an hour if I remember correctly. You can look round pretty much everything in a day as its mostly a museum with some cinema type shows rather than a park with rides.

Good to know and thank you for replying!

Pretty much set on going out there, will see which way the wind takes me for what to do after/evening!

Evening might be nice at disney springs if your nearby. Free parking and a nice place to wander round, lots of shops and restaurants, its all very pretty and looks nice at night. Although Friday and Saturday night can be quite busy.

You can get a fast pass for universal studios - it's a bit expensive but means you barely have to queue, which also allows you the time to visit both parks in a day!

Universal Studios, or I guess it'd be Disneyworld now... whichever one has the Star Wars rides and the massive AT-AT model - That stuff is about the best memories I have of Orlando.
