hi i have put this mod on , its good but I haven't even levelled up once and i've been playing like 4.5 hours now is this normal ???

Is this on a new game cause I understand that to use OOO you have to start a new game. I dunno if that was fixed for version 1.3 though.

Edit: Changed 4.5 to 1.3

Version 4.5? I thought 1.3 just came out

But afaik you dont need to start a new game to get OOO working anytime after the 1.2 release. You just install something else or do something different when you do install it and then your set. Explains it in the Readme fiel that comes with.

Ive installed oblivion again for this mod (I only uninstalled because my computer couldnt handle it at the spec I wanted), not played for a few days because I find it impossible to travel around the world, so many higher level monsters even on the roads.

Any tips?

Fast travel? I thought monsters levelled up with you?

Sorry may have changed for this mod, i dont know.

Same thing happened to my brother in Oblivion. He's played probably more than 4.5 hours overall and he's still level 1 (only half way to 2!).

Maybe you need to be using a wider range of your skills (sneak more, block more, fire arrows more etc.)

EDIT

My brother hasn't got Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul though.

I had to start a new game to use OOO - I tried using my old saves but I was getting constant CTD's and I was getting all kinds of weird glitches in the game, ending with me getting stuck inside a house with no way out! I started a new game (I was planning on doing so anyway) and all seems fine so far, although I haven't played long enough to comment on your leveling issue.

yer enemy have fixed levels so some are very hard when you start but as u lvl up they remain the same so some of the easier ones become fodder, just how it should be so at least you feel like you are getting somewhere.

and not having a major battle with a wolf/rat when your LvL 23 or whatever.

That's why I love OOO. :)
It makes some travels off limits until you are strong enough. Just how I feel it should be. The number of times I had to turn and run away! run away! in the early hours was hilarious with rows of bandits and monsters chasing me till they either beat each other up or a guard intervened. :)

And now at level 37, with one flick of my wrist I can zap low level creatures into eternal rest.

Oh and you can still fast travel to places you have visited withh OOO version 1.3.

How many game hours have you been playing to get to level 37?

I've been playing for around 13 hours gametime & my level meter is only half-way along towards level 3  Battles with anything like snow lions or black bears or the shadow dogs are out of the question at the moment as I just get pulverised. Really enjoying the game with this OOO mod. Although I didn't really play it before the mod.

My better half is playing Oblivion without the OOO mod & she's a few hours more than me in game time but has leveled up to around 8 or 9.

I take it this slower progress in levelling up is normal in OOO. Due to the NPCs not levelling up with you?
