Im looking to go to uni to study business economics after ive stayed on a extra year and will have the following.

A level
Media = A
Business = C
Economics = B
AS
C in general Studies
haven't choose another subject yet but will most likely get a C -B
Other
Key skills Number ,
GNVQ ICT and 5 A-C's in GCSE
Young enterprise certificate
Shares for school Certificate
Currently Run my own business which makes around 500/week profit

Will any of them impress and maybe sway a university to choose me over another candidate? Is there any other activity's i could take to improve my self and university chances.

applying via ucas gives the opportunity to write a personal statement
this is your chance to show them what you are other than grades on a piece of paper

things i was told to include were:
duke of edinburghs (or some such commitment to a scheme)
extra curricular studies (making an effort to work above the reccommended level)
part time job (willing to work) - make the most of your young enterpirse and business experience, but tell them how you think it has helped / changed you
charity work (or similar)
sports (team playing)
student mentoring for those in the years below you

dont just say 'i do this, this and this' - expand on it, tell them why you do it, what it has done for you, and how you feel it adds to your character
sell yourself :)

you have enough i would say, it's just a matter of the personal statement - where you have to show an interest in the subject matter and course itself.

you are clearly doing something right if you are making 24k a year already - what is this business you speak of? ironic that you have a c in business studies, which is pretty easy in my experience!

other things to make you more appealing would be positions of responsbility, voluntary work etc.

make sure you pick a uni matched or similar to your grades - you are not likely to get into the top top echelons of unis with them grades.

Generally being a rounded individual who has other interests apart from academic ones :cool:

Just to let you know I do business finance and the economics modules are the most boring things ever, obviously you may well like them, but just warning you they are hated by most of my mates in the business dept, so chose wisely.

I import a certain Nintendo DS accessories from china i haven't been running very long. But this Certain Accessorie is in high demand and relatively low amount of people selling although im currently in talks with a few manufacturers to produce my own version. Obviously this could change in the future. And without trying to make an excuse for my self my business teacher is poo he is hardly ever there and when we are there we did very little work mostly talk about general knowledge things.

My sports are I used to run for Nottingham AC but not any more , Play for my local Football team and my 6th form team.
