Ouija boards - don't mess with them

Seeing as how it's Halloween, I thought it appropriate to post this. When I was a kid, probably about 12 years old, myself and my two older brothers (3 years older), created a Ouija board by simply writing out the letters of the alphabet and putting them in a circle. And then we put a tiny drinking glass in the centre. Lights turned down and we all put our finger on the glass.

What happened scared the living **** out of me. After a slow start, the glass started moving faster and making sentences. It got to the point where it was saying " I.. WANT.. YOUR.. SOU.." at which point I panicked and turned the lights back up.

I absolutely 100% know that I wasn't pushing the glass and I absolutely know my brothers wouldn't have either. But it stopped me ever messing around with this stuff again. I'm genuinely not making this up. When I eventually saw the Exorcist movie, it reminded me of this experience, as that whole movie is about possession started by playing with a Ouija board. I'm mostly a sceptic about ghosts and the like, but often think back to that experience and it reminds me that there is something to it all.

Logically how would a glass and a circumference of letters and numbers be spiritual or have any meaning.

The glass never moves its a psychological perspective of belief, or some retard pushing the glass.

It can move but not on its own basic physics.

Well that depends on whether it was a spirit glass.

They're crap brothers then, get new ones.

Good point. Noted.

You're thinking purely in terms of known logic but no-one really knows what unearthly things exist that defy logic.

They were only after your souvenirs. Ouija spirits love getting souvenirs from all the places they get summoned from. They're really into that kitschy touristy crap.

I've got a very similar story from army cadets, also heard other similar stories from other people but there's absolutely no proof of the supernatural.

Nearly everyone has a high quality camera in their pocket nowadays but still no proof!

You only put a sprit in a glass to drink. How on earth can you catch one to put in a glass, if the is such a thing.

Run around the garden with an empty glass hoping to catch one.

Its all fairy tale stuff to me, why not use a cup? Why a glass? How come so called sprits can enter glass but not a cup? Is it because a cup is opaque?

Lol, I wish it was that, but I know exactly what it wanted.

I must add that contrary to me saying I would never do it again, I do recall doing it once again years later with friends, but on that one I know they were pushing the glass, plus there was lots of giggling. So if you ever want to try it and prove it to yourself, just make sure you do it with people you totally trust wouldn't prank you and aren't playing around.

I wish I could answer those questions, I've no idea. I don't blame anyone for being sceptical. I just know what I experienced, what I saw happen in front of my eyes.

For every group of friends there is always one with this story.

Some of my own experiences which I have previously posted about:

It is funny I've often had instincts like that - walk into a house and some places I just have an underlying feeling of unease other places feel friendly and it isn't just down to location, people who live there or decor, etc.
