..so can anybody recommend a bundle that will last three years with regards to performance. I already have a 780 watt PSU and a 1070 ti. Looking for a cpu mobo combination for Photoshop and graphic work with some gaming. Possibly consider a ssd and 32 gig of ram if the price is right or around £800 plus. Thanks

whats your current cpu/mobo ?

adobe still favours intel .

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £709.02 (includes shipping: £11.10)

as a heads up, very limited stock else were for i7 8700k for £310-20 ... even on a B360 board will boost to 4.7ghz all cores and fly for any rendering work and gaming etc

Still running a 4.5ghz I7Sandybridge. Do you know if there is a Pre-configured bundle similar to the above? Thanks.

its all drop and play , since they aren't overclockable .

if you were looking to overclock and since you've got an i7 4core 8 thread already... might want to think about i9 9900k with 8 core and 16 threads but would be PUSHING budget easily . dont think theres a non i9 9900 K verison, only the 8700 .

8700 non k as all core boost of 4.3ghz , can set MCE on in bios and should always run that under load or let it do its own thing when needed

The I9 sounds interesting I could possibly stretch the budget to 900-950 if that would help or alternatively simply go for as much grunt as possible for as little as possible.

no idea, you'll have to wait till week 40 at least , thats when z390 boards hit . no idea is photo shop take use of 16 threads , if anything when ryzen 1800x landed at £500 odd. what im guessing it'll cost in the UK or shout of done, i7 8700k has gone from £310 to £400 now with intel shortage as they now produce a lot of chips on 14nm node

Photoshop still favors Intel at the moment but the difficulty arises in deciding whether that is going to continue to be the case with the potential for multi core support in the future? Apart from thread ripper what is the best current bundle from AMD at the moment? If there's not going to be anything to compare with the I9 I'm going to look at the 5ghz bundle from 8pack.
