Hi there, I thought someone here would probably know how to set this up again.

We have an outdoor security light round the back of our house (student house), the other night one of our housemates kept going in and out of the back door at silly O'Clock in the morning, the light is right by my room and turns on when it senses movement.

The switch is in my room, so instead of confronting said housemate and telling them to go away, I turned the light off altogether.

Now the light can either be turned off permanently, or on permanently, it's done this before when we had a powercut, the electrician said that to set the sensor up again you have to press the button in/out for X amount of seconds, then leave it, then do the opposite for X amount of seconds.

I can't remember exactly what he said though, and have tried for a while to get it working, has anyone else had to done this before? I'm guessing that a lot of security lights are on this kind of timer/sensor so someone may know? I've tried googling but just get many pages selling these kind of lights, and I don't want to have to get the electrician 'round again.

Thanks :D
