Overclock Your Missus

:/

I've always just been a real man, bought what I want when I want, if she has a problem, tough, it's my money...if you have to hide your spending from your partner, lol at you.

Exactly this.

The sort of people who hide their spending from their wives are the same kind of under-the-thumb pansies that call their wife things like 'SWMBO'. Go and get your balls re-attached.

If I want something and have spare cash then I buy it, if it was going to make me/us hard up I wouldn't buy it.

My wife once asked me what a package was and I said graphics card - that was true, except there were three in there (trisli for the stupid waste of money win!)

I opened this thread expecting to hear some stories involving nipple clamps and batteries.

Disappointed.

I've been with her 36 years and can't tell her lies.
The day before I got married in 1980 I bought a £600 Tascam Portastudio (the first one in Stoke).
She let's me have anything I want so no complaints.

Girlfriend kind of expected me to get my parents for my birthday to pay for me to go on holiday with her. She works, i'm a student, and I kind of let slip a couple of weeks back that I'm going to upgrade my rig instead.

Don't think she's too pleased, but then to be honest a new rig might last me 2-3 years whereas a 1 week holiday comes and goes in a blip.

I normally go into great technical detail about purchases, too the point where she stops getting annoyed that I splashed so much money and gets confused to the point of why I actually got it in the first place :D

I thought this was going to be a topic about photoshopping a large pair of cans onto your missus

In all seriousness though, just lie works 60% of the time everytime..
Never done it with comp hardware, but I may have done so with flight tickets and sprung the whole I'm moving country for 2 years surprise.. (needless to say, lucky I live in a diff country now!)
