It varies from CPU to CPU

me 1.28v but some are lower and I have not got the time yet to tweak it down a bit

A lot of other factors to consider as well... mine sits under a massive Themralright Silver Arrow !!

The cooler is a extreme example and many coolers like the Venom will give really good results as well. indeed with voltage control and careful OCing you'll get acceptable results with your present cooler as well
