I am not a very experienced overclocker, but have done a little basic OCing in the past.

I was wondering what are the best tools to overclock my graphics card, without involving complicated methods. I know the safety process of the procedure, just not which programme would be best.

What overclocks have you guys been acheiving with this card and how far have you risen your 3DMark scores as result?

I ordered the same card yesterday and was also wondering how well it overclocks. I do not have high hopes as Custom Pc magazine only managed a very small overclock. This may vary from card to card but I do not think I will even bother - probably the first card that I will never overclock

.

if its like mine then just install cat 6.3 then use overdrive to wack the core up 30 and the memory up 30 aswell (actually 60 as its DDR)
if your wanting to put different coolers on and increase volts etc then im not sure

Pfff.

Been right upto 1.575 here :D

Thats fine for quick testing, that 24/7 on air is a no no.

1.425V is my current max on my X1900, but thats because carp stock cooling hitting 60C with fan closing on 75% :o

1.475V with decent temps is fine IMO 24/7, 1.5V is cool too if you got really nice temps.

It might be worth pointing out to the newer overclockers, that 1.5 is about the safe air limit for the 90nm process. In fact its rated a lot lower, 1.1/1.2v. You can always go higher, but keep an eye on those temperatures and if your serious think about watercooling because these cards run really hot on the stock cooler.

100% stock cooler fan speed at 1.575v with 750/920 clocks... The temperature never got above 60 degrees =\

Ambient was quite cold, but still, prooves stock cooling is more than fine.
