overclocking i7 920 - getting past the multiplier help please!

any one know khow to get past the 21X multiplier for the origional i7 920? I have heard romours of a way to get around it but have found nowhere that can tell me how t do it myself.

You can't.

It was a glitch in CPU-Z that allowed it to go higher but it never actually clocked to that I believe
 
thanks for the help. i suppose i can still raise the clock speed? im limited to 1200 on that but i don't want to push it to far and wreck the equipment.

:)

Clock as in Bclk? if so I would suggest you do so in small increment. Most i7 920's will max out at 190-210, you could go higher, but not guaranteed stability. It depends on the cooling, memory kit, motherboard and your CPU.
