Overclocking MSI P67A-GD65 with 2600K

I have just ordered one of these boards, whats the best thing to do, stick the latest BIOS on straight away before installing windows? Whats the best way to flash the BIOS?
 
Well 1.1 got me the highest overclock. 1.4 works aswell but I can't OC past 4.2GHz on that. Everything after 1.4 for me crashes on exit save. So I'd go with 1.4 unless you think you may have a non stupid board that works like others have.
 
Well got mine and 1.7 is perfect.

Currently at 3.8Ghz at 1.176V

Anyone know a good guid to clocking this properly there are so many settings.

Got my ram running at 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 at 1.5V
 
any solution?

i bought the i7 2600k Oc bundle...with the msi p67a-g65.

im using 1.4 bios....with defaults i have no problems...as soon as i load the provided OC profile(4.6ghz)...i get "machine check error" cycles:(

been in communication with Ocers for the last week with little success....the last support guy i spoke to seemed to indicate theyve had lots of problems with the sandybridge setups...although, not my exact issue.:mad:
