We haven't decided you're a lousy employee, you made it evident.

15 hours lateness in a 5 years would be unacceptable imo you managed it in 2 months?
You complain about your fellow staff members.
You drink on the job.
You sleep on company time.
You have an attitude of superiority over others which is unfounded from everything i've read.

Any one of these traits makes you a lousy employee, all of them together makes you a terrible employee, and i'm disgusted you're employed when myself and many others were/are unemployeed for long periods of time (I have, and have had for a while, a full time job so don't turn around and say i don't know what im talking about. Even with flexi time i turn up at or before 7AM every day, despite being allowed to come in anywhere between 7 and 9. It's not difficult.)

What's truely sad is the story you described actually seems unfair to you, but the way you've put it, and past posts leaves you in a more than unfavorable light.

Ignore me if you will, i mean, who am i? Some guy on a forum. Doesn't mean i'm wrong though.

groen, can't you just ask to do the next rota? It can't be done weeks in advance.
