P2450 Colour banding

Hi,

I purchased a samsung p2450 and it's great except one issue,

When i watch avi's, quicktime trailers & dvds i notice colour banding on things like skin tones etc... i don't get this when looking at image files so i am not quite sure what it could be?

Anyone else had this problem or no a resolution to it?

I did not change any codecs since installing the monitor.
