I have a P4 570 (3.8ghz),
My stock hs&f was starting to click so I have fitted a Zelman CNPS7700-Cu.
I didn't fit speed control thing to the board becasue I wanted to see how loud it would be like that.
My Mobo is an MSI 7046 (OEM) in the bios there are no temp monitor & the software on the MSI site says it does not support my mobo.
I downloaded a program called speedfan and it reports that the cpu fan is running between 38-43c when whatching somthing on media plater ant browsing net and 60c ish when running oblivion.

So my questions are

1. What should a P4 570 be running at ?
2. Anyone know any better software to monitor ?

Also anything else helpful would be welcome

Hi again,

Airflow is fine I am Using a Thermaltake Lanfire case it has 4 fans, theres nobig bunchs of cables that should cause a problem

It may be me worrying about nothing (I wish I had taken temps before swaping)
I just ran prime95 for 2 hours and it leveled out at 68 went up to 71 but kept going down again.

what would be considered a bad temp as I know prescots run hot but 68c ?

thanks again for reading

Just Ran a 20 min test with S&M only got to 69c but S&M reported it as 65c at that point (I realise people have bigger issues I'm just worry) So which result is acurate ?

Thanks again, again for reading :)
