p4 corsair and SHUTTLE help! urgent!

help guys i need to get this done and setup running for tormoz!

ive setup my shuttle intel case and motherboard with a intel p4 3.6ghz and corsair ddr2 ram.

im booting it up without any drives fitted and it freezes after the cpu and mem tests.

when i plug hdd in (sata) it freezes and goes blank!

The 945 G/P only support DDR2 533 4-4-4 and DDR2 667 5-5-5 timings.

if my ram isnt what that says (quote from mainboard manual...) *** that be it?
