P400a case fan - one of three not spinning

Hi guys

finally got my pc built yesterday and all is working fine, barring one of the case fans at the front not spinning.

I installed an exhaust fan which is linked to cha_fan1, and the 3x rgb fans at the front are all plugged into an adapter that then occupies just 1 header on the motherboard.

I would assume I’d overloaded the header by putting 3 fans into 1 header but the other two are working fine.

I’ve checked and the cables aren’t loose or anything.. could always try the idle fan in the header directly to see if it’s the cable but I’ve (stupidly) cable tied it all down after turning it on and making sure it was all working.

any suggestions before I do this?

thanks

Try pressing the blade section into the casing. I had one I thought was faulty and inadvertantly fixed it by doing this

Can you just switch two cables around on the adapter?
Ie, on the adapter, switch the dodgy fan for a good fan, and see if that works?

Helps to rule out if the problem is with the fan itself
Hi there

thanks for your reply - I’ve done this and the fan started working but the middle of the 3 stopped so I’ve ordered a new cable to arrive tomorrow. It’ll be ok running with just two for now won’t it?
