Hello,

I might get one of these 2 for 25€, would it be worth ditching my p5b deluxe for one of those and if so, wich one of the 2 is better (for ocing, stability, etc) ?

Will be working with 4x1 gb geil ULL, E6420 and an 8800GTS 512.

25 Euro is not much, I'd do it anyway as the P35 chipset overclocks a lot better then the 965 you currently own. I think the P5KC is the better one of the two but you can compare features on the Asus website.

(Beiden zijn op de tweakers pricewatch tussen 80 en 100 euro, mooie prijs hoor :))

I had the P5KC and it ran fine with 4 sticks of Geil ULL but i found it didnt overclock my Q6600 too well. Could only get 3.2 stable. It wasnt the chip as its now at 3.4 in a different board.

I think these also only have 4 phase voltage regulation, compared to 8 pase of the p5k deluxe

3.2 is still much more than on my p5b, asus have nerfed the bios and made it unable to go back to old good version, as a result: 2.8 ghz max bootable on a c2d, 2.6 max stable on a c2d.

tell that to my E6420...
Can't get above named clockspeeds while used to run 3.2 ghz no probs for months b4.
