P5Q Deluxe chipset problem

Hi all,
Have tried to run both the Asus chipset inf setup from the supplied CD and the Intel download version without any success - neither the Intel chipset identifying utility nor Everest manages to identify the chipset.

Without this it would appear I can't install the Intel Storage Matrix thing and so can't use AHCI / Raid.

Any ideas on how to get the chipset recognised - something in the registry maybe?
