I recommended this board for my friend's first gaming PC (coupled with a 2.66GHz Q6700). I helped him build it and in less than 20 minutes we had the chip running happily at 3.33Ghz. This was by no means the limit of overclocking, but the temps went over 60 and he became nervous (yea, i know). Anyway, it is a great board and I know that it will run much higher than what we got it to. Also, the bios is very well laid out - which always helps.

I used Corsair PC6400 RAM (was fine), so I can't help you on that front.

I had good results with the p5q deluxe after moving from an evga 680i that wouldnt clock quads, the pro is also a pretty decent board, i think on this new one the only difference is the addition of the turbov oprating system overclocking utility.

Ive read a few reviews already, tho i did look at the one you linkewd but stopped reading when it said it was a DDR3 board :p

Yes, just noticed that...

EDIT: Should have mentioned I had a P5Q Deluxe which I used with a Q9550 @ 4.0GHz, so I would think the P5Q Pro Turbo will also clock well...
