Pacifism is one of those idea and ideals that only work well on paper. But seem to fail miserably as soon as they enter the real world and are applied to real world situations. Like the idea of the perfect communist state, it works fine on paper but no one has ever got it to work in the real world.

Not really, they're strongly opposed to war and violence in general.

If someone is apathetic/dispassionate/uninterested then that description might fit but pacifism doesn't describe ambivalence to absolutely everything.
