Hey all, I wondered what the recommended page file size is when I have 2GB of ram? or does it not really matter? Many Thanks to whoever can help :D

Or you can set a static pagefile on another HDD (NOT another partition on same HDD) of 2GBs, also putting a static one on your C:\ HDD/part of 50MBs for XP or 200MBs for Vista......:)

That's what I've done for XP pro - stops the PF getting fragmented as you can't defrag it on C:\ with the MS utility.

Static swap file should be 2 times the amount of memory you have (make it 'just' over 2 times though). Some people may disagree but that is old school way of doing it so you can swap the entire contents of memory into the swap file if needed and pull out somethig else from the swap file to fill the entire memory.

In practice, probably very rare for you to need that much, but better safe, as HDD space is cheap :)
